Obituary

Linda R. Donelson, 74, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019, with her family at her side.

She was born Tuesday, November 13th, 1945 at Bon Secours Mercy Hospital in Altoona, a daughter of the late Rev. Homer W. Lingenfelter and Mary E. “Bessie" (Metzgar) Lingenfelter.

On January 21st, 1965 at the Everett Grace Brethren Church, she married John H. Donelson who passed away on March 30th, 2017.

She is survived by their children,

Jonathan L. Donelson and fiancé Carla Foor of Everett;
Stephanie S. (Donelson) Holliday and husband Darrell Holliday of Schellsburg;

Eight grandchildren,
Jessica (Donelson) Stone and husband Thomas Stone of Everett,
Jordyn (Grimm) McCalmont and husband Trevor McCalmont, of Donegal,
Michaela (Grimm) Heider and husband Dakota Heider of Hyndman,
Jared Donelson of Everett,
Ace Grimm of York,
And Kelsie Holliday, Jeremy Holliday, and Alexis Holliday all at home in Schellsburg,

Four great-grandchildren,
Austin McCalmont , Lily McCalmont, Haley McCalmont, Pierce Stone and a new great-granddaughter on the way,

Three brothers,
Jerome Lingenfelter and wife Linda of Pittsburgh,
Joel Lingenfelter and wife Judy of Everett,
Cary Lingenfelter and wife Janet of Everett,

A sister-in-law Brenna Mackall, two brothers-in-law, James Donelson and wife Carol and Francis Donelson and wife Gayle, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a grandson Austin Lynn Grimm, a sister Sally (Lingenfelter) Overman and her husband Jim Overman, and two brothers-in-law, Claude Donelson and Ed Donelson.

Mrs. Donelson was a member of the Pennwood Bible Church for over 25 years and was a former member of the Everett Grace Brethren Church where she was a pianist and organist for Sunday services and many church events at both churches. At Pennwood she was also a member of the Ladies Fellowship and a teacher for vacation bible school classes.

A graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1963, Linda was always first in line to lend a hand, be it with her parents at their newly founded church, or her work as a clerk at the HP Department Store in Everett or as a manager at Sheetz in Everett.

She truly loved her family, especially babysitting the grandchildren, and was always up for a new adventure, meeting new people and loved eating out. She will be remembered for her kindness, her optimistic outlook, and always having a spare minute to share with you.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 13th, 2019 at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor Stephen Scruggs officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda to the Pennwood Bible Church, 440 Hospital Drive, Everett, PA 15537.
