Dallmeyer Morse, 81, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019.
He was born Tuesday, October 19th, 1937 in Monroe Township, a son of the late Elvin R. Morse and Helen L. (Shaw) Morse.
On March 26th, 1961 in Cumberland, he married Opal (Golden) Morse who survives along with their children,
Jeffrey L. Morse and companion James Knarr of Everett,
Brian K. Morse of Everett,
Michelle L. Morse of Everett,
An aunt Laura Morse of Bedford,
Three sisters-in-law,
Barbara Young and husband David Young of Breezewood,
Rachel Snyder of Hancock,
Florence Ruppenthal and husband Wayne Ruppenthal of Needmore,
A brother-in-law Richard Golden and wife Diane of Warfordsburg, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by his stepmother M. Fay (Shriner) Morse, a young sister Wanda Morse, and a brother Gary Morse.
Dallmeyer previously attended the New Light Church in Breezewood and finished high school early to take over the operation of his family’s East Providence Township farm. While operating the farm, he also worked as a mechanic at Kirk Ford Sales in Hancock, then at B&P Motor Express in Breezewood, and then worked as an assembler at JLG Industries in Bedford and McConnellsburg until retiring.
A dedicated volunteer and participant in the Relay For Life of Bedford County – American Cancer Society, Dallmeyer enjoyed spending time with his friends and sharing stories at Pauline’s Store, now Cathy’s Store, in Crystal Spring, also attending local county fairs, hunting year round, cutting timber and was a great fan of International Harvester tractors. A quiet man who enjoyed the company of others, he will be truly missed for his kindness and words of wisdom.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, 22 West Main Street, Everett. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Saturday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.
Burial will be held at Rock Hill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dallmeyer to the Relay For Life of Bedford County - American Cancer Society, 1004 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
