Obituary for Ronald W. "Hun" Hinish

Ronald W. "Hun" Hinish
Ronald W. “Hun” Hinish, 85, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4th, 2018.

He was born Monday, October 10th, 1932 a son of the late Cyril Frank Hinish and Margaret Pearl (Mellott) Hinish.

He is survived by his close friends Debra Bollman and husband Terry Bollman of Breezewood and their family members James McMullen, John Keller, Tammy Keller, Elmer Keller, Lester Keller, Jeremy Keller, Cheyenne Keller and Scooter Bollman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by his life partner Shirley Ann Smith in April of 1995 and friends Roger McMullen and Becky Ickes.

Ron enjoyed attending church whenever he could at several local churches. In his younger years, he was an umpire for Bedford and Huntingdon County Adult Baseball Leagues. Always an avid baseball fan, Ron also liked pitching horseshoes, playing shuffleboard and shooting pool, and was always up for a dance with his girlfriend Shirley, who together were know as “Hun and Bun.”

Going out with his friends or socializing at the Breezewood VFW Post #8333, Ron was a light hearted and good-humored fellow who enjoyed riding ATV, racing and snowmobiling with his friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at dallavalle-everett.com. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ron to the funeral home.

Private burial will be at Yellow Creek Cemetery - St. Pauls.
