The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dolores Hornbarger can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Julie Rininger and Family (Sharon Clapper, Heather and Autumn Rininger)
Condolence: We are so very happy and blessed to have had Dolores in our lives, even though we have only known her less than two years. We immediately adopted as family; it's as though she had always been there. She was my mother-in-law's roommate and we couldn't have wanted a more compassionate and kind-hearted friend to share Alice's life with than Dolores. Delores was an amazing lady and we always enjoyed sharing her life stories with us. Despite her illness, she was such a positive and fun-loving "grandma". I would take my little dog, Angel, to see her; Dolores insisted that Angel sit on the bed with her so she could share her food with her. Angel loved her as much as Dolores loved Angel. It was only recently Dolores asked why I haven't brought Angel to see her, when I had to tell her that Angel went to Heaven back in July. I have no doubt that Angel greeted Dolores as she entered Heaven to get her "angel" wings. We enjoyed taking her Easter and Thanksgiving meals to her, among other little special treats, which meant the world to her. She brought so much joy and happiness to our lives and we are all going to miss her so much. She expressed to me that she knew it was "going to be soon" just recently. She had made a request to us, one that touched our hearts and will never be forgotten. Although it's not going to be the same without seeing her at Donohue, she will always be in our hearts. She had such a positive impact on us and we were meant to be part of each other's lives. Now she can live in peace without the pain and sickness she long endured. We love you Delores.

Condolence: Joey,
I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. She was one of the most awesome caring people I have ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
